The following images are from the Celebrating Women in Music performance at seven arts centre 24th April 2008. 'A celebration of women in South Asian music. We take great pleasure presenting three of the UK's most talented ladies; Kamaljeet Kaur Ajimal on Santoor accompanied by Sukhmani Kaur Rayat on Tabla and Rupinder Kaur Panesar on Sitar.'

From the website www.saa-uk.org 'inspired by Stravinsky’s Firebird and framed in a Hindustani Raga, ‘Freedom of the Soul’ promises to take the listener on an exciting, yet, at moments a turbulent journey of the mind, body and the soul. This new composition has been created through an organic collaboration between South Asian musicians, featuring the likes of Dharambir Singh (sitar) and Harjinderpal Singh (santoor) alongside the best young musicians based in the region, members of the Hallé Orchestra and Sheffield school children. Led by tabla player and composer, Yorkshire’s very own Bhupinder Singh Chaggar & Jesse Bannister, world renowned Saxophonist this is an exciting partnership venturing into the production of spellbinding crossover music.'
The following images were taken from ‘CELEBRATING SOUTH ASIAN DANCE IN YORKSHIRE’ an event held at ‘Seven’ in Chapel Allerton, Feb 2008.
The event ‘brought together three of Leeds’ most active dancers and their students, showcasing their talents in the Folk, Bollywood and Bharatanatyam dance forms of South Asia’.
